Overall, the major reason that Ebook writing has become so popular, is because of the way consumers are eating up this new trendy way of reading the novels they otherwise would probably not have time to read in the traditional paper format. The real reason that it has grown into such a popular trend, is because it allows the reader to take their books everywhere they want to go, without the burden of having to lug around heavy paper from place to place.

Once you have a niche or a genre that you would like to write about, you will simply need to sit down and get it done. Generally, a writer will have their own personal preferences on what they want to write about. This, of course, is the best possible means of getting the creative juices flowing. Making Your eBook an Easy Read

Monday 11 July 2011 @ 1:13 pm

Making your eBook an easy read is not an impossible task. There are few tips and tricks that can help you do this in no time. The first of these would be to do thorough research on you keyword before you begin. This enables you to figure out how many people are writing about the same topic. This can help you in two ways. The first it would enable you to see how many angles there are to the same content you are writing an this will help you in picking a different route to go by that has not been explored before. I f there are millions of eBooks about what you desire to write about, the prior tip could seem like a monumental task. So the second way that your keyword research will help you in is figuring out whether you will have to choose to write about something else in case the internet is flooded with eBooks corresponding to your topic of choice.

The second thing that you need to ensure is that the content of your eBook is rich. Any eBook that is quite comprehensive will impress the readers. This does not mean that you should be excessively wordy. Keep in mind that your readers are not stupid. You should have a solid storyline that is expresses articulately and concisely. This should enable your eBook to hold your readers’ interest. You do not have to make your eBook too short though. All you have to ensure is that the story flows correctly, whether you are writing fiction or a self help eBook.

Lastly, if you are writing a self help book or an eBook that is non fiction, stick to the facts. Ensuring that your eBook is factual will maintain your credibility as a writer. If it is not factual and the public finds out, your online writing career is doomed as word travels extremely fast on the internet.

Keeping Your eBook Interesting

As an eBook writer, as with any other kind of writer, you always have to keep your readers in mind. Always ask yourself if you are portraying the information in a way that is easily comprehensible to them. This does not mean that you should write like your target audience is a bunch of six year olds (unless your target audience really is a bunch of six year olds!) Instead you should ensure that you are not patronizing your reader with unnecessary difficult vocabulary but still maintain your integrity as a lover of words. When you know your audience, you are able to determine ways to keep your eBook interesting. Knowing your audience will also determine how long your eBook will be. Most people who will read something off the internet are prone to live fast lives. Thus they do not expect to sit and read an eBook for ten hours. If you have a lot of information that you want to write about, you may want to contemplate making a series of eBooks so that you can avoid having one ridiculously long eBook.

Ebook Writing requires dedication. This will translate into hours upon hours of sitting in front of a computer screen banging out copy. Once you are done writing your eBook, chances are you will feel burnt out. Being brunt out is a sure way of making you miss any mistakes that you may have made when writing your eBook. For this reason, you will have to get someone else to edit your eBook for you. This could be a family member, a close friend or even a coworker. What your eBook will need to stay interesting will be a fresh set of eyes that can pick out any errors that you may have made whether grammatically or because of wordiness.

How to Write an eBook

Monday 13 June 2011 @ 8:36 am

To start writing an eBook, you need to select a suitable title for it. It does not matter if you are writing an eBook to provide to the masses for free so that you may get exposure as a writer or if you are looking to make profits from it. The fact is, nobody will read your eBook if it does not have a title that evokes curiosity from the reader. On that note, it is pretty obvious that you will have to write about something that your audience will find interesting. Thus make sure you have done your research on your target audience. Whether you want to write about vampires who are all the rage now, or want to write home repairs for the do it yourself males, sufficient research on your target demographic as well as a catchy title is the first step in writing a successful eBook.

eBook Writing is quite similar to writing a blog. Do not take your eBook overly seriously. You do not want to come off as an English professor or a lecturer. Writing an eBook gives you more flexibility than writing a hard copy book. Take advantage of this as it will enable you to connect with your readers. For example, if your target audience is local, you can throw in slang words that the readers in your area will understand. Do not go overboard with this though. Your eBook should still appear like it was written by an intelligent individual. Use a conversational tone so that your readers are more at ease with reading your book. This way they will not feel like it is a task but will instead read it as something to pass time.

Lastly, after you have finished writing it, convert your eBook to a PDF file. This will make it more accessible to your readers and easy to download. Thus they can have it in their computers and even their cell phones.
